Inspiration

GROW at Kazimour Farm and Orchard was inspired by GROW HUB, a non-profit plant nursery located in Gainesville Florida, co-founded by Dr. Kim Kazimour, a development psychologist, and Cedar Rapids native. 

GROW HUB was created in 2016 to meet the critical needs of adults with disabilities, who after completing their schooling, have limited options for meaningful employment. GROW HUB now has 25 employees and provides job skill building, community, and purpose for adults with disabilities. 

Kim, and her sister Kory, established GROW at Kazimour Farm & Orchard in Cedar Rapids in November 2022 and secured 501(c)(3) status in early 2023. 

Their vision is to bring the same opportunities to the family’s farm and orchard in southeast Cedar Rapids as GROW HUB has done in the Gainesville area.
