Buds & Blossoms 2026 – A Blooming Success!
Thank you to everyone who joined us on May 2nd for Buds & Blossoms sponsored by the Cedar Rapids Garden Club! Our greenhouse and grounds were bursting with vibrant annuals, hardy perennials, fragrant herbs, and veggie starts ready for spring planting.
We were thrilled to welcome the Linn County Master Gardeners, who shared expert tips and answered questions throughout the day. Members of the Cedar Rapids Garden Club were also on hand to assist with plant selection and led a hands-on session on how to plant containers that truly pop!
Our incredible Core Crew kept the day running smoothly—restocking plants, welcoming guests, carrying purchases, managing the kids’ corner, and introducing visitors to our mini horses, Andy and Buckeye. Their enthusiasm and dedication brought so much energy to the event.
Best of all, 100% of proceeds support Core Crew programming, helping us continue to empower growth and independence through horticulture.

Buds & Blossoms 2025
GROW welcomed more than 250 visitors who enjoyed garden inspiration and hands-on activities.
Linn County Master Gardeners offered expert advice on plant pairings and growing tips, while representatives from the Cedar Rapids Garden Club led engaging demonstrations on how to create eye-catching containers.
The event was powered by 25 dedicated volunteers and five Core Crew members, who played an active role in assisting and serving customers—demonstrating firsthand the skills and confidence they are developing through GROW.
Children were able to get creative with crafts.
Children also got to plant blooms of their own to take home.
Guests of all ages also loved meeting our mini horses, Buckeye and Andy, adding a playful touch to the day’s festivities.
